Executive Council Confirms Amy Newbury as Director of Division of Administration

CONCORD, New Hampshire – Today, members of the Executive Council unanimously confirmed the appointment of Amy L. Newbury as Director of the New Hampshire Department of Safety Division of Administration. Governor Sununu nominated Newbury at the June 14, 2023 Governor and Council meeting.

“Amy brings vast experience and demonstrated excellence that will ensure the Division of Administration continues to provide efficient and exceptional service to all divisions within the Department of Safety,” said Commissioner Robert L. Quinn. “I’m very pleased to have her on our team.”

“I look forward to joining the talent at the Department of Safety and I am honored by the opportunity to serve New Hampshire residents in this new capacity,” said Amy L. Newbury, newly appointed Director of the Division of Administration.

Most recently, Newbury has served as Chief of the Bureau of Family Assistance at the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, where she manages all business functions for 13 District Offices across the state. Previously, she served as Assistant Director of Finance and Administration at the University of New Hampshire, College of Health and Human Services, where she managed all budgeting, reporting, contract negotiations, and personnel matters. 

Newbury earned her MBA from Southern New Hampshire University and has more than 10 years of managerial experience working for large nonprofit and government organizations. She is scheduled to be sworn in July 14.
