Longtime Department of Safety Employee Mullen Appointed to Judicial Conduct Committee
Concord, NH – John Mullen, a longtime employee of the New Hampshire Department of Safety, has been appointed to the State of New Hampshire's Judicial Conduct Committee.
Mullen, who spent more than 30 years in law enforcement, started his career with the Amherst Police Department in June 1990. He joined New Hampshire State Police's Troop B in August 2002 with a permanent assignment. He was promoted to Troop B detective sergeant in 2004.
In 2013, Mullen transferred to the New Hampshire State Police Professional Standards Unit working as a compliance sergeant. He was promoted to the rank of lieutenant in 2016 and eventually served as the commander of the Professional Standards Unit.
Mullen retired from New Hampshire State Police in August 2020.
Mullen has served on multiple committees including the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office Child Abuse & Neglect Task Force, Partnering for a Future without Violence Conference, the Southern Hillsborough County Cyber-Safe Task Force, and the committee responsible for updating the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office Child Abuse and Neglect protocol. He also was co-chairman of the Southern Hillsborough County SART initiative and is currently a member of the New Hampshire Retired State Trooper's Association Executive Board.
Mullen currently works for the Department of Safety's Division of Administration.
Mullen is filling the unexpired term of Ernest Goodno on the Judicial Conduct Committee.
